Back to School Family Letter
Hello Lions!
Welcome to a new school year! Linked to this message is our Back to School Family Letter. Within this letter you will find important information related to the 2023-2024 school year. We encourage you to spend a few minutes reviewing the letter at some point over the next few days.

Dual Language Immersion Program Information
DLI Application Information for Incoming 2023-2024 Kindergarterners
DLI Application (Spanish version)
This information is for families who are interested in applying for the kindergarten DLI lottery at Slade Elementary School. Slade will hold a lottery on April 5th for incoming kindergarteners to begin DLI in 1st grade during the 2024-2025 school year.
Attendance Matters
It is important that your students attend school, but if they are going to be absent please make sure to let our office know. This is important not just so we know why they are absent, but for safety, so we know that you know they are not in attendance. If you do not let us know of their absence, your student will be marked unexcused.
There are currently 2 options to let us know about absences. Call the office at 307-721-4439, please leave a message if you don’t get an answer. You are also welcome to email Jordin, jmora@acsd1.org. There will be information coming out soon about a 3rd attendance reporting option, please watch your email for more information.

Box Tops for Education
New this year, Box Tops for Education is working to transition to a technology based application. They are phasing out the traditional Box Tops which are cut off of the boxes and labels of our groceries.
Since, Box Tops for Education is making this transition, we will be changing our procedure for Box Tops as well. For the time being, we will continue to collect cut out Box Tops, but will be working to phase those out. Please make plans to visit the website below for more information regarding the electronic app for collecting Box Tops.
